The Beach - "Turtle Beach"

Dalyan has 5Km of virtualy untouched sand beach. The reason that this area is so "unchanged" is due to the protected spieces of sea turtle (Caretta caretta) wicht find its nesting place here every summer. Due to this fact and the work of animal protectin organizations worldwide led to stop a 600 room hotel dieng duilt here in the mid ´80s!
"Every summer is mainseason on the southwest coast of turkey, but ist not only the european tourists and natives who are lying ab the beach. A couple of thousand turtles follow their inborn instincts and come back to the beach to lay their eggs between the dunes, sandcastles and deckchairs. Helpers stay over the whole summer here in the coastal areas to protect the nesting places of this turtle to save it from extintion as best they can."
